Interior design of the Architect’s apartment in Kiev, Ukraine

Interior architect in Kiev-7Initially this apartment in Kiev 60 sq. m. was one room, with a huge kitchen and balcony. And although for the owner – architect wonderful Kiev Studio Kovalchuk and Partners Ruslan Kovalchuk – it is a second home (primary residence – country house), its objective was to use the available space more efficiently.
After a detailed study plan, Ruslan decided balcony be turned into a kitchen and the location of the former kitchen to make a living. Interestingly, the initial plan envisaged such unprecedented luxury for a Studio apartment as 2 bathrooms. It is not surprising that one of them it was decided to include in the living room. It so happened spacious sitting area.
The main inspiration for the creation of design of the apartment was recent concept from the famous Italian brand Poliform, called “my life in 80 square meters“. Authors of the project tried to prove that stylish and at the same time functional design is not on the largest space is quite possible. In the course of the project Ruslana, unfortunately, had little away about the basic concept as experiencing difficulties with the selection of finishing materials and furniture in Kiev.
By the way, Studio Kovalchuk and Partners for more than 5 years on Ukrainian market and during that time managed to get a rather comprehensive and exciting portfolio. And let this apartment has been designed in a modern minimalistichnom style, the company works equally well in other stylistic directions.
